There are many\nways to control them. If you look at\n\nhttp://www.rotorservice.com/press3-alliance.htm\n\nNear the bottom of the page is a picture of two rotors combined for AZ/EL\nalong with the links to how several people have made it work. The U-100/110\ndo not have feed back pots so you either need to be creative or buy what\nsomeone else has done. There is no real need for computer control. Years\nago we made lots of contacts and no one used computer control.\n\nThe Orbit 360 rotor has been used by many folks as well. These are the\nbudget solutions. More work but less cash involved. In my opinion if you\nwant to rotate even a small dish this is NOT the way to go, but it will work\nfine for some fairly large 2 mtr and 70cm satellite Yagis.\n\n73,\nJoe kk0sd\n\n\n\n-----Original Message-----\nFrom: Eric H Christensen [mailto:[email protected]] \nSent: Monday, September 10, 2007 8:44 AM\nTo: [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]\nSubject: RE: [amsat-bb] Re: Rotators\n\nJoe,\nIt looks like the U-100 and the U-110 are only one plane and won't handle\nboth the azimuth and the elevation control.
