    "content": "Call for Papers 14th Annual Southeastern VHF \nSociety Conference April 23rd and 24th, 2010 \nMorehead State University in Morehead, Kentucky\n\nThe Southeastern VHF Society is calling for the \nsubmission of papers and presentations for the \nupcoming 14th Annual Southeastern VHF Society \nConference to be held at Morehead State \nUniveristy in Morehead, KY on April 23rd and \n24th, 2010. Papers and presentations are \nsolicited on both the technical and operational \naspects of VHF, UHF and Microwave weak signal \namateur radio.  Some suggested areas of interest are:\n\nTransmitters\nReceivers\nTransverters\nRF Power Amplifiers\nRF Low Noise Pre Amplifiers\nAntennas\nConstruction Projects\nTest Equipment And Station Accessories\nStation Design And Construction\nContesting\nRoving\nDXpeditions\nEME\nPropagation (Sporadic E, Meteor Scatter, Troposphere Ducting, etc.)\nDigital Modes (WSJT, etc.)\nDigital Signal Processing (DSP)\nSoftware Defined Radio (SDR)\nAmateur Satellites Amateur Television\n\nIn general papers and presentations on non weak \nsignal related topics such as FM repeaters and \npacket will not be accepted but exceptions may be \nmade if the topic is related to weak signal.  For \nexample, a paper or presentation on the use of \nAPRS to track rovers during contests would be considered.\n\nThe deadline for the submission of papers and \npresentations is February 5, 2010.  All \nsubmissions for the proceedings should be in \nMicrosoft Word (.doc). Submissions for \npresentation at the conference should be in \nPowerPoint (.ppt) format, and delivered on either \na USB memory stick or CDROM or posted for \ndownload on a web site of your choice.\n\nPages are 8 and 1/2 by 11 inches with a 1 inch \nmargin on the bottom and ¾ inch margin on the \nother three sides.  All text, drawings, photos, \netc. should be black and white only (no color).\n\nPlease indicate when you submit your paper or \npresentation if you plan to attend the conference \nand present there or if you are submitting just \nfor publication. Papers and presentations will be \npublished in bound proceedings by the ARRL.
