"content": "Hello everyone.\n\nThat Acer is a beautiful machine. I like the size of the micro laptops.\n\nIf a less expensive micro is desired, though, people shouldn't overlook the\nolder SONY VAIO PCG-505F series. I have one, and it is pretty capable. It\nruns Windows ME (I actually like ME), and has a USB port on it. I have used\na 4-Port USB adapter to run 2 USB-to-serial cables, and it works quite\nwell. And you can get them on eBay for as little as $100.\n\nEven though it has an older OS on it, its size and performance are adequate\nfor what I ask it to do. (Sometimes, the LATEST OS just isn't necessary\nwhen all you need the PC to be is literally perform as a man/machine\ninterface)\n\nFood for thought.\n\nJohn KB2HSH\n\n-- \n_______________________________\n\n\nJohn Marranca, Jr\nPBX Technician/Shop Steward CWA Local 1122\nBN Systems, Inc\nOrchard Park, NY\n(716)972-2006\n",
