I dug around for more info but surprisingly didn't\nfind any clues as to why. I'm anxious to know what caused it. \n\n\n-----Original Message-----\nFrom: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On\nBehalf Of Alexandru Csete\nSent: Thursday, October 19, 2006 2:57 PM\nTo: [email protected]\nSubject: [amsat-bb] TLE data at celestrak.com\n\nGreetings,\n\nI noticed today that in the TLE data at http://celestrak.com some sort\nof code has been added to the satellite names, for example:\n\nAO-5 [-] \n1 04321U 70008B 06291.55431397 -.00000031 00000-0 10000-3 0 7492\n2 04321 102.0681 269.7355 0027833 21.2403 338.9816 12.52147306679025\n\nThe codes I have seen are [+],[-],[P] and [B]. Moreover, ISS has been\nrenamed to ARISS [+].\nThe TLE files at http://space-track.org does not have these codes, and\nISS is still ISS.\n\nDoes anybody have an idea of what is going on at celestrak? Can it\nbe something indicating the operational status of the satellite?\n\n73\nAlex OZ9AEC\n\n_______________________________________________\nSent via [email protected].
