This high altitude balloon flight will take place on Saturday,\nSeptember 29, 2007 at 9:00 AM MST (1600 UTC). The launch site will be\nannounced closer to the flight date and will be based on winds aloft,\ntentative site is Maricopa, AZ south of Phoenix, AZ.\n\nThe balloon will be a 1200-gram weather balloon, filled with helium.\nThe expected burst altitude will be 90,000 feet or more. The flight is\nanticipated to last about 2.5 hours from launch to touchdown.\n\nThe flight will checkout new ANSR beacons and also have the voice\ncross-band\nrepeater.\n\nApproximate coverage map: http://www.kd7lmo.net/ansr/ansr_repeater.html\n\nThere will be a pre-flight net on Friday, February 18th at 7pm MST (0200\nUTC) on the Sacaton Peak,AZ repeater, 447.725 MHz/100.0 Hz PL tone.\nTalk In Prior to launch / Tracking As required on same Sacaton Peak\nrepeater.\n\nLook for Joe KB7RMZ and/or Louis W7LMW to publish regular flight path\npredictions over the next week.\n\nThe following is the payload frequency plan:\n\nCross Band NB-FM Voice Repeater\nInput: 145.560 MHz/162.2 Hz PL tone\nOutput: 445.525 MHz\nLinked to IRLP Node 9255\nAPRS when repeater not in use on 445.950 MHz at 10, 20, 40, and 50\nseconds\nUTC time via KD7LMO-11\nLanding prediction after burst at 15 and 45 seconds UTC time via\nKD7LMO-0\nInfo: http://kd7lmo.net/pc.html\n\nNew APRS Beacon\nFrequency and timing will be published before the flight.\nInfo: http://kd7lmo.net/aprsbeacon.html\n\nNew 900MHz Beacon\nFrequency and timing will be published before the flight.\n\nExisiting ANSR Beacon APRS\nFrequency and timing will be published before the flight.\n\n\nOur mobile cross band Digipeater will repeat the APRS data to the\n144.390\nMHz standard APRS frequency and thus will be I-GATED to the Internet for\nout\nof area trackers. You can track the flight using either of the following\nlinks:\n\nhttp://www.findu.com/cgi-bin/find.cgi?kd7lmo-11\nhttp://map.aprsworld.net/kd7lmo-11\n\nForwarded by\nN8DEZ/6\nSteve\n \n \n", "attachments": [] }
