"content": "Mike,\n\nSome FT-847s have been reported to be a bit flakey with SO-50. Others have\nreported no problems. I have a different rig now, but my experience was\nthat it normally worked fine, but that every now and then I would get a pass\nlike yours. The PL deviation and frequency checked fine, so I never found\nan explanation at the shack end. \n\nAlan\nWA4SCA\n\n\n-----Original Message-----\nFrom: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On\nBehalf Of Michael J. I am using PL\nencode set in the radio on 67hz. I have the transmit on the subband and\nreceive on the main band.\n\n \n\nAm I missing something simple? I couldn't seem to get into the satellite\ntoday no matter what I did.\n\n \n\nI have never been able to work SO-50. This same setup performed flawlessly\non AO-51. My only thought is the CTCSS tone is not being generated or is\nnot transmitting on the SUB Band? It does state ENC for Tone Encode on the\nFT-847 sub band.\n\n \n\nCurious what the list thinks I may have wrong? I really want to get active\non SO-50 for the rest of the summer.\n\n \n\nThanks for any thoughts, ideas, past gotchas, etc..\n\n \n\nMike\n\nKb8zgl\n\n \n\n_______________________________________________\nSent via [email protected].
