"content": "Hi Don!\n\nThe web page Andrew KE8FZT is a great resource for setting up\na D72 for FalconSat-3's digipeater. I referenced his site in\nmy AMSAT Journal article, as he had the same settings I used\nwhen I got started with this satellite - and he already had\nscreenshots from the radio. Why reinvent the proverbial\nwheel? :-)\n\nThe easiest way to set up a D72 for FalconSat-3's digipeater\nis probably with the Kenwood MCP-4A software and COM port\ndriver on a Windows PC. Then you aren't having to go through\nthe menus on a small screen, and you don't have to enter\nmessages and text like you would enter an SMS message on a\nflip-phone (multiple presses of a key to get a particular\ncharacter). All of this *can* be done with the D72's front\npanel, but there is a better way through the software.\n\n73!\n\n\n\n\nPatrick WD9EWK/VA7EWK\nhttp://www.wd9ewk.net/\nTwitter: @WD9EWK or http://twitter.com/WD9EWK\n\n\n\nOn Wed, Jun 6, 2018 at 1:44 PM, Don KB2YSI <[email protected]> wrote:\n\n> As an FYI /additional resource:\n> https://andrewbnortham.com/ke8fzt/falconsat/\n>\n> I do not know how it rates with the others, but figured I'd share.\n>\n> 73, Don KB2YSI\n>\n> On Tue, Jun 5, 2018, 23:25 <[email protected]> wrote:\n>\n> > I am confused, which is not an uncommon thing.
