We are now starting to get daylight\npasses in the early evening so it's time to start having\nsome fun with this bird again.\n\nLast evening around 2203UTC, ARRISat-1 had a great pass\nover the south and eastern US. After listening to the\nvoice and copying a SSTV picture, I switched to the linear\ntransponder. My downlink was stronger than I have ever\nheard before and it stayed in there for the rest of the\npass. Unfortunately there was no one to work. It's amazing\nthat this bird can hear anything on UHF with virtually no\nantenna.\n\nIf you haven't worked much ssb or cw on ARRISat-1, now is the\ntime to start trying again. We won't have this opportunity\nforever.\n\n73,\nJohn K8YSE\n\n_______________________________________________\nSent via [email protected].
