    "content": "\nOne can have long conversations through a regular repeater, but the primary factor is \"load\".  How many folks want to talk at the same time.  I've had a number of relatively long conversations, some three-way, through SO-50, but they were very late at night.  These days it's a lot easier to have a conversation through AO-7 or FO-29, because they support multiple conversations at once.  \n\nSecondarily, and not to be dismissed, is that a HEO orbit gives you a lot longer to talk.
