For the \nAmateur Satellite Service I would recommend this:\n\nhttps://shop.kuhne-electronic.com/kuhne/en/shop/power-amplifiers/MKU+PA+70CM60W+HY++UHF+MOSFETPower+Amplifier/?card=650\n\n50mW in for 60W out or there about, pretty nice and straightforward \nfinal stage. Needs a pretty hefty heat sink, and some control circuitry \nbuilt around it. If you are looking for something outside the Amateur \nbands, they also have a whole other commercial line of products, many of \nwhich overlap the ham bands (good for 'dual use', but may require your \nown filtering).\n\n\nGetting up to 100W or above I second the W6QPL recommendation. He also \nhas a lot of useful 'widgets' for rolling your own solutions (like a \nfine sequencer that could be used in conjunction with an SDR to control \nthe PA).\n\n\n\n-Zach, KJ4QLP\n\nResearch Associate\nAerospace Systems Lab\nTed & Karyn Hume Center for National Security & Technology\nVirginia Polytechnic Institute & State University\nWork Phone: 540-231-4174\nCell Phone: 540-808-6305\n\nOn 11/25/2018 6:29 PM, David J.
