"content": "Mike,\n\nI have used such a setup for some time now, I have a 2m/70cm diplexer at \nmy desk and one at the antennas, so that I can use one feed line \n(LMR-600). I also switch the heck out of the feeds with several coax \nrelays in order to achieve different satellite modes as well as put the \nradios on my terrestrial vertical. I acquired the relays and diplexers \nover the years at hamfests and online auctions, I think I bought a \ndiplexer or two new also.\n\nThe article you may be referring to was in the May 2010 QST, by Steve \nFord WB8IMY. If you don't have that QST issue, you can view it online \nat ARRL if you are a Diamond Club member.\n\nYou can see a few pictures on the Satellite Antennas page of my website, \nhttp://n0jy.org. On that page there is also a link to a PowerPoint \npresentation of the whole antenna switching scheme. That will show you \na bit about the use of the diplexers.\n\nMy experience in using this setup has been positive, I have no empirical \ndata about signal loss or comparisons to what it was like before I went \nto one feedline. The cables prior to the switch were RG-8 and Belden \n9913 anyway, so comparing to LMR-600 wouldn't be apples to apples. It \njust works good. I've had no problems with signal strength both up and \ndown, and make all of the contacts I wish to.\n\n73,\nJerry\nNØJY\n\nOn 4/8/2011 8:59 PM, N8GBU wrote:\n> I was wondering if anyone has scene the article about using a diplexer (I\n> think that's the right name) on both ends for a satellite setup?
