Remember SuitSat, and all the preparations for it,\nincluding the use of special paint that someone involved (wb4apr?)\nhappened to have?\n\nThe people behind the ISS are wary of things brought up, and worry\nabout things like interference, etc. I think that is justified: you can't\njust go out and fix stuff.\n\nI've always been impressed that ham radio was even up there at\nall. Sure, *we* see it as great--and it is--but we're another thing\nto think of and manage. I'm sure somewhere there is a bean counter\nwho has placed a cost on ham stuff on the ISS.\n\nSo \"real hams\" wouldn't be able to do stuff any faster. However, I\nthink that is a slap in the face to a lot of talented people who've\ngotten licenses, and I think you owe an apology for that.\n\n--STeve Andre'\nwb8wsf EN72rr\n\nOn 05/30/13 00:17, Bob- W7LRD wrote:\n> if there were a \"real\" ham on the ISS things would be different.\n> 73 Bob W7LRD\n> ----- Original Message -----\n> From: \"Ing.
