"content": "For WB2LLP and others,\nFor $30, I found a terrific collapsable tripod at a photo supplies store. \nIt's 17\" long when collapsed, and weighs 24 oz, no problem at all in adding\nthat to my portable carrying bag.\n\nThere is a standard 1/4\" bolt on the tripod that is normally used to screw\ninto a camera. The Arrow has a hole that accepts a 1/4\" bolt. \n\nThe problem with this is that the Arrow will tip over the whole thing\nbecause it extends far forward and unbalances the tripod. So, instead of\nscrewing the ant onto the bolt, put a 1\" threaded bushing on the bolt, and\nput a photographic C-clamp holder into the other side of the bushing. The\nholder also has a 1/4\" bolt. Then the Arrow (or some other ant.) just gets\ncenter mounted in the C-clamp. There's no apparent diminution of the\nArrow's effectiveness.\n\nHope this is helpful to some. It returns at least 1 hand to use in logging!\n\n73,\nTony, N2UN\n\n\n",
