Personally I prefer making packet contacts with people on ISS \npasses and I don't find it boring at all.\n\nBut I'll admit, SSTV is probably more popular - but that may be because \nit happens in limited times, people hear it's going on and make it a \npriority to get the image. If it was on 24/7 that might seem get pretty \nboring pretty quick. It's all pretty cool and amazing to me.\n\n73,\n\nTom\n\nOn 2021-07-19 11:14, Robert MacHale via AMSAT-BB wrote:\n\nJust curious - is there any way to measure SSTV utilization?\n\nFor example, in the past 24 hours there have been 700 packets digipeated \nfrom the ISS based on packets iGated.\n\nhttp://packets.aprsat.com/igates/\n\nObviously, not all traffic get's iGated - so, we can double that number \nfrom 700 to 1,400 packets in the past 24 hours.\n\nI think I hear you saying SSTV is a better utilization of the radio \nbecause more people would utilize the downlink if it was sending SSTV; \nI'm not convinced that is true.\n\n73\n\nRobert MacHale\n.
