"content": "Yes sir, but it works just slightly differently.\n\nThere are actually a couple of \"virtual audio cable\" software packages. The \none I use can be downloaded from:\n\nhttp://vbaudio.jcedeveloppement.com/Download_CABLE/VBCABLE_Driver_Pack43.zip\n\n... and after install, in any piece of software you use you'll have some \nadditional audio device options beyond just your \"real\" speaker output & mic \ninput.\n\nSo, a common use would work like this: in an app that OUTPUTS audio (like \nyour SDR software), you set the output audio device to be the \"IN\" virtual \naudio cable.\n\nOn some other piece of software that is looking to take in audio (SSTV, \nFoxTelem, etc.), you set the audio INPUT device to be the \"OUT\" port from \nthe virtual audio cable.\n\nIt's harder to say than it is to do. If it helps, sketch it out on paper. \nThe \"virtual audio cable\" is just the link between one program and another.\n\nUsing a mechanism like that works much better than using any of your actual \nsound devices since it's a closed pipe from one end to the other.\n\n-Scott\n\n\n--------------------------------------------------------------------------------\n\n-----Original Message----- \nFrom: Red Willoughby\nSent: Thursday, September 07, 2017 10:55 AM\nTo: [email protected]\nSubject: Re: [amsat-bb] AO-85 and the solar flare\n\nScott, do you know of something similar to the PulseAudio Volume Control\nutility that will run under Windows? \n\n",
