That's\ngood !\n\n On the other hand, there are several areas where the Satellite has a\nterrible \"jamming\" on the Uplink, in the middle of the night.\n I have observed that, over M.East and W.Asia sometimes the Satellite is\nfully noisy, FMing too.\nProbably because the Satellite subzone between 145.8-146 MHZ is fully\noccupied by pirates, old VHF wireless phones etc.\nSo, even without Ham-users, sometimes the satellite is fully overloaded.\nThat is very bad in case where the Satellite is into Eclipse but, definitely\nwe can not much to do in order to prevent that.\n\n As I remember, this Satellite has a function for electric management \n(UVC),\nin order to \"Turn-ON\" automatically the transponder, when came on Sunlight .\nUnfortunately, on UVC appeared a malfunction @ April'07.\n\nNormally, if the batteries are discharged and the satellite comes into\nEclipse, the transmitter is turned OFF by the UVC. It is designed so that \nlater\nan analog system transmitter becomes ON automatically when the terminal\nvoltages of the battery exceed a set value after the power is available from\nthe Solar Panels.\n However, it appears likely that a malfunction occurs for this function, \nand the\nterminal voltage cannot turn-ON the transmitter even if it exceeds the set\nvalue - unless commanded from the JARL's ground station.\n\n Therefore, without UVC-function and by carrying 12 years old Batteries,\nthe Satellite is \"naked\".\nEven without traffic from Ham-operators during the Eclipse, it is not\nsure if that prolongs the FO-29's life.\n\n\n73, Mak SV1BSX\n\n\n----- Original Message ----- \nFrom: \"Keith N4ZQ\" <[email protected]>\nTo: <[email protected]>\nSent: Monday, July 28, 2008 3:25 PM\nSubject: Re: [amsat-bb] Re: FO-29 telemetry\n\n\nVery Interesting Data you collected, Mak. Maybe it should be suggested\nthat if FO-29 is in eclipse, that it shouldn't be used. That might prolong\nit's life. What do you think ?\n\nKeith N4ZQ\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n-- \"SV1BSX\" <[email protected]> wrote:\n Hi Domenico, i8CVS\n\nlast night I collected the Telemetry from FO-29.\n\nDate 27 July 2008, Orbit #58990. AOS 21:27, TCA 21:34, LOS 21:41.\n\nIt is very interesting to point out that, the most part of TLM collected\ninto Eclipe !\nIf I am not wrong, just the \"Data1\" is on Sunlight and the rest DATA on\nEclipse.\nAt 21:32 the FO-29 came on the dark, 2 minutes before the TCA.\n\nThe confirming of Sunlight on \"Data1\" is obvious also by Solar-Panel Current\n(= 1000.0 mA).\nAlso the battery has the biggest Voltage (16.4 ). In the next \"Data 2,3,4,\n5 & 6\" where the FO-20\nwas on Eclipse, the Solar-Panel Current is just 9.8 mA.\n\n However, the battery voltage is droped down from 16.4 V (Data1 on\nSunlight)\nto 14.2 V (Data 6 on Eclipse). That means 2.2 Volts lower in about 5 mins.\n I can't say if that is normal or not. It's just my notice and probably is\nOK that but,\nit should be very interesting if we can find an older TLM-Data into Eclipse\nin order\nto compare it with this one.\n\n Finally, the following data are 100% OK. As you know dr Domenico, I am\n\"old fashion\"\nCW operator by using pencil and paper, however I recorded my reception\nand I confirmed\nit twice, in order to eliminate any possible fault.\n\n\n\nHere is the collected Telemetry DATA:\n\nHI HI 22 E2 88 D5 8F 05 05 25 00 24 01 01 66 63 98 98 B0 5C B6 B1 B8 BA B9\nHI HI 22 E2 88 D5 8F 05 05 25 00 24 01 01 01 83 8B 8A 95 85 B6 B0 B8 BA B9\nHI HI 22 22 88 D5 8F 05 05 25 00 24 01 01 01 83 87 86 91 8B B6 B0 B7 B9 B9\nHI HI 22 22 88 D5 8F 05 05 25 00 24 01 01 01 84 85 84 8F 7A B5 B0 B7 B9 B9\nHI HI 22 22 88 D5 8F 05 05 25 00 24 01 01 01 83 85 83 8E 62 B5 B0 B7 B9 B9\nHI HI 22 22 88 D5 8F 05 05 25 00 24 01 01 01 85 84 82 8D 95 B5 B0 B7 B9 B9\n\n\n-------\n Data 1\n---------\n Main Relay ON : DCM ON\n SRAM OFF : Packet OFF\n JTA ON : JTD OFF\n GAS OFF :\n SAS OFF : UVC ON\n UVC Level 1 : PCU Mode AUTO\n PCU Level 3 : Battery Mode TRIC\n Battery Logic TRIC :\n Digitalker Mode OFF : UVC ACT/PAS PAS\n CPU RUN/RESET RUN :\n Spin Period 8356.0 [msec]\n Sun Angle 72.5 [deg]\n GAS-Z 490.2 [nT]\n GAS-X 490.2 [nT]\n Solar Panel Current 1000.0 [mA]\n Battery Current -59.6 [mA]\n Battery Voltage 16.4 [V]\n Battery Middle Voltage 7.3 [V]\n Bus Voltage 17.3 [V]\n Analog Tx Power 499.9 [mW]\n Structure Temp. 1 11.2 [C]\n Structure Temp. 2 13.1 [C]\n Structure Temp. 3 10.4 [C]\n Structure Temp. 4 9.6 [C]\n Battery Cell Temp. 10.0 [C]\n\n---------\n Data 2\n---------\n Main Relay ON : DCM ON\n SRAM OFF : Packet OFF\n JTA ON : JTD OFF\n GAS OFF :\n SAS OFF : UVC ON\n UVC Level 1 : PCU Mode AUTO\n PCU Level 3 : Battery Mode TRIC\n Battery Logic TRIC :\n Digitalker Mode OFF : UVC ACT/PAS PAS\n CPU RUN/RESET RUN :\n Spin Period 8356.0 [msec]\n Sun Angle 72.5 [deg]\n GAS-Z 490.2 [nT]\n GAS-X 490.2 [nT]\n Solar Panel Current 9.8 [mA]\n Battery Current 567.6 [mA]\n Battery Voltage 15.0 [V]\n Battery Middle Voltage 6.6 [V]\n Bus Voltage 14.6 [V]\n Analog Tx Power 766.4 [mW]\n Structure Temp. 1 11.2 [C]\n Structure Temp. 2 13.5 [C]\n Structure Temp. 3 10.4 [C]\n Structure Temp. 4 9.6 [C]\n Battery Cell Temp. 10.0 [C]\n\n---------\n Data 3\n---------\n Main Relay ON : DCM ON\n SRAM OFF : Packet OFF\n JTA ON : JTD OFF\n GAS OFF :\n SAS OFF : UVC ON\n UVC Level 1 : PCU Mode AUTO\n PCU Level 3 : Battery Mode FULL\n Battery Logic FULL :\n Digitalker Mode OFF : UVC ACT/PAS PAS\n CPU RUN/RESET RUN :\n Spin Period 8356.0 [msec]\n Sun Angle 72.5 [deg]\n GAS-Z 490.2 [nT]\n GAS-X 490.2 [nT]\n Solar Panel Current 9.8 [mA]\n Battery Current 567.6 [mA]\n Battery Voltage 14.5 [V]\n Battery Middle Voltage 6.5 [V]\n Bus Voltage 14.2 [V]\n Analog Tx Power 805.4 [mW]\n Structure Temp. 1 11.2 [C]\n Structure Temp. 2 13.5 [C]\n Structure Temp. 3 10.8 [C]\n Structure Temp. 4 10.0 [C]\n Battery Cell Temp. 10.0 [C]\n\n---------\n Data 4\n---------\n Main Relay ON : DCM ON\n SRAM OFF : Packet OFF\n JTA ON : JTD OFF\n GAS OFF :\n SAS OFF : UVC ON\n UVC Level 1 : PCU Mode AUTO\n PCU Level 3 : Battery Mode FULL\n Battery Logic FULL :\n Digitalker Mode OFF : UVC ACT/PAS PAS\n CPU RUN/RESET RUN :\n Spin Period 8356.0 [msec]\n Sun Angle 72.5 [deg]\n GAS-Z 490.2 [nT]\n GAS-X 490.2 [nT]\n Solar Panel Current 9.8 [mA]\n Battery Current 587.2 [mA]\n Battery Voltage 14.3 [V]\n Battery Middle Voltage 6.4 [V]\n Bus Voltage 14.0 [V]\n Analog Tx Power 694.9 [mW]\n Structure Temp. 1 11.6 [C]\n Structure Temp. 2 13.5 [C]\n Structure Temp. 3 10.8 [C]\n Structure Temp. 4 10.0 [C]\n Battery Cell Temp. 10.0 [C]\n\n---------\n Data 5\n---------\n Main Relay ON : DCM ON\n SRAM OFF : Packet OFF\n JTA ON : JTD OFF\n GAS OFF :\n SAS OFF : UVC ON\n UVC Level 1 : PCU Mode AUTO\n PCU Level 3 : Battery Mode FULL\n Battery Logic FULL :\n Digitalker Mode OFF : UVC ACT/PAS PAS\n CPU RUN/RESET RUN :\n Spin Period 8356.0 [msec]\n Sun Angle 72.5 [deg]\n GAS-Z 490.2 [nT]\n GAS-X 490.2 [nT]\n Solar Panel Current 9.8 [mA]\n Battery Current 567.6 [mA]\n Battery Voltage 14.3 [V]\n Battery Middle Voltage 6.3 [V]\n Bus Voltage 13.9 [V]\n Analog Tx Power 538.9 [mW]\n Structure Temp. 1 11.6 [C]\n Structure Temp. 2 13.5 [C]\n Structure Temp. 3 10.8 [C]\n Structure Temp. 4 10.0 [C]\n Battery Cell Temp. 10.0 [C]\n\n---------\n Data 6\n---------\n Main Relay ON : DCM ON\n SRAM OFF : Packet OFF\n JTA ON : JTD OFF\n GAS OFF :\n SAS OFF : UVC ON\n UVC Level 1 : PCU Mode AUTO\n PCU Level 3 : Battery Mode FULL\n Battery Logic FULL :\n Digitalker Mode OFF : UVC ACT/PAS PAS\n CPU RUN/RESET RUN :\n Spin Period 8356.0 [msec]\n Sun Angle 72.5 [deg]\n GAS-Z 490.2 [nT]\n GAS-X 490.2 [nT]\n Solar Panel Current 9.8 [mA]\n Battery Current 606.8 [mA]\n Battery Voltage 14.2 [V]\n Battery Middle Voltage 6.3 [V]\n Bus Voltage 13.8 [V]\n Analog Tx Power 870.4 [mW]\n Structure Temp. 1 11.6 [C]\n Structure Temp. 2 13.5 [C]\n Structure Temp. 3 10.8 [C]\n Structure Temp. 4 10.0 [C]\n Battery Cell Temp. 10.0 [C]\n\n\n======================== END of message ==================\n\n\n\n\n73 de Mak, SV1BSX\n\n\n\n\n\n", "attachments": [] }
