No question the \r\nArrow gets heavy in the hand after a while and a tripod with a loose \r\nball head can let you manipulate the arrow by hand while still using the \r\ntripod to bear the weight.\r\n\r\nOne problem with using an Arrow on a tripod is the lack of a \r\ncounter-balance extension. (I wish that Arrow would sell one, but many \r\nhave fabricated their own). With a counter-balance you can use a \r\nlighter-weight tripod, but without you need a heavier tripod that won't \r\nfall over when your antenna is pointing lower on the horizon (i.e., more \r\nhorizontal).\r\n\r\n73 Ken VA7KBM\r\n\r\nOn 2019-04-24 10:03 a.m., David Swanson via AMSAT-BB wrote:\r\n> This.
