The application fee used to be $12, and that included \nhow many QSLs you sent to get the VUCC. Now if I want to get a brand new \nVUCC on 6m using LOTW, it is $7 for the intial fee, plus $16.00 for the QSL \nfee, so it is $23, as opposed to the previous $12, so it has doubled in \nprice.\n\n73s John AA5JG\n\n---- Original Message ----- \nFrom: \"Bruce\" <[email protected]>\nTo: <[email protected]>\nSent: Tuesday, January 25, 2011 12:25 AM\nSubject: [amsat-bb] reply from arrl on new vucc fees\n\n\n> okay, here is what bill moore, nc1l, the head guy for the arrl awards has \n> to say\n> about the new structure for the awards. note at the bottom, if you are\n> submitting your first ever award with 50 lotw and 50 cards, you must \n> submit two\n> separate applications and two separate fees.\n>\n>\n> this is self explanatory (don't shoot the messenger).\n>\n> 73...bruce\n>\n>\n>\n> ----- Forwarded Message ----\n> From: \"Moore, Bill, NC1L (ARRL Awards Branch)\" <[email protected]>\n> To: bruce paige <[email protected]>\n> Sent: Mon, January 24, 2011 6:14:19 PM\n> Subject: RE: National Association for Amateur Radio Website Form\n>\n>\n> Hi Bruce:\n>\n> Here is how the new fees work:\n>\n> First, for VUCC there is no Hybrid application like there is for DXCC and \n> WAS.\n>\n> For paper applications:\n>\n> $7.00 application fee\n> Each QSO is $0.20\n> $1.00 postage\n> $12.00 for each certificate\n>\n> LoTW Applications:\n>\n> $5.00 application fee\n> Each QSO in LoTW is $0.16\n> $1.00 for paperwork postage\n> $12.00 for each certificate\n>\n> Eg: If someone has a first time ever Satellite VUCC with 250 QSOs the fees \n> would\n> be:\n>\n> $7.00 for the application\n> $50.00 for 250 QSOs @ $0.20 each\n> $12.00 for the certificate\n> $1.00 for paperwork/sticker return\n>\n> His total would be $70.00\n>\n> If he has LoTW and Paper both categories would apply above since we do not \n> have\n> hybrids anymore.\n>\n> Basically, the application fee went down and other fees were adjusted.\n>\n> Regards\n>\n>\n>\n> If someone needs 100 for a first time ever and they have 50 LoTW and 50 \n> paper,\n> they would do each application, separately, and the fees for each \n> application\n> apply as noted above.\n>\n>\n> Bill Moore NC1L\n> Awards Branch Manager\n> ARRL - The national association for Amateur Radio™\n> 225 Main Street\n> Newington, CT 06111\n> Telephone: (860) 594 0234\n> Fax: (860) 594-0346\n> email: [email protected]\n> DXCC Web Site: www.arrl.org/awards/dxcc\n> Blog: http://www.arrl.org/awards-blog\n> _______________________________________________\n> Sent via [email protected].
