"content": " Hans, \n\nIf you are keen on getting a Sony recorder by all means, but if you like a all-in-one device, just use an old android phone (without SIM card).  \n\nThere are free apps for almost anything - Easy Voice Recorder for recording audio, AmSat Droid Free for pass prediction (uses built-in GPS for accurate location), Robot36 + SSTV encoder, built-in Calendar, Clock, Camera, easy to recharge, small, light weight, big color display, flash-light, file transfer (USB or WiFi), etc... and FREE if you have an old one lying around.  You can even take a selfie video of working a pass and post it on YouTube/FB, if you like.  I have been using mine for years and never looked back. \n \n \n73! \nUmesh \nk6vug \n  \n  \n  \n\n\n On Wednesday, March 13, 2019, 5:07:36 AM PDT, Hans BX2ABT <[email protected]> wrote: \n \n My sis-in-law will be visiting from the States soon and I usually make \nher bring some stuff for me so I can save on freight costs. She will \ndefinitely bring an Arrow Antenna so I can start some portable \noperations. A Sony voice recorder is also on my list, as well as some \ncoax cable (RG-400 is what I'm thinking of. Really expensive here). \nDon't have a budget for much more, but since I have a clear \nline-of-sight to some 10 kW FM transmitters from my QTH I thought I \nshould at least get a good FM-band notch filter.\n\nAny recommendations on where to buy this in the US? I haven't found \nanything when I googled, not even a lot of 2/70 band pass filters, or \nlow pass filters to prevent desensing on 70 cm. My own creations have a \ntoo high insertion loss, so this time I really want something a bit more \nprofessional and something that can handle at least 100 Watts of power. \nAny recommendations are welcome.
