"content": "Dear Friends,\nI'm posting this mail on behalf of Mohan VU2MYH and his colleagues.\n\nThis morning at 12:30 UT a balloon carrying APRS payload was launched \nfrom Hosakote near Bangalore South India. The call sign is VU2MYH and \nthe balloon was tracked successfully since launch till now. But the \nballoon has unexpectedly into a very long flight and it is currently \ncrossed the Indian coast line on the western side near udupi, a place \nnear to Mangalore and it is still in flight. Though, I'm able to \nreceive the signals till now, but it is not stable, probably due to \nlow voltage for my MixW to decode the telemetry.\n\nThe last recorded data in my Club station [VU2URC]ISRO Satellite \nCentre, Bangalore at 11:41:19 UT indicates the position 13.41.19 N/ \n74.18.79 E at an altitude of 64763 feet [19744 meters].\n\nIt is very evident that we may not be able to recover the payload, but \nwould like to request our friends if any sailing over Arabian Sea and \nstations located around east coast of Africa and west of India to \nlisten on to APRS signals on 145.765 Mhz.\n\nIf signals were heard, the following persons who are mobile since \nmorning and tracking the balloon may kindly be contacted on:\n\nSanjay: +91 888 569 8940\nPrasad: +91 974 250 9781\n\n\n73 de\n\nMani [VU2WMY/KJ6LRS]\n\nSecretary & Station-In-Charge\nUpagrah Amateur Radio Club VU2URC\nISRO Satellite Centre\nHAL Airport Road, Bangalore-560 017.\nPhone:(O)91-80-25082054/2598/2192\nMobile: 91-80-98803 41456\nE-mail ID: [email protected]\n [email protected]\n [email protected]\n\n------------------------------------------------------------------------------\nConfidentiality Notice: This e-mail message, including any attachments, is for\nthe sole use of the intended recipient(s) and may contain confidential and\nprivileged information.
