    "content": "I got a couple of cheap and nasty BFR91 pre-amp boards from out local\nelectronics store.\n\nI built one and the gain was equal or worse. It had two sets of components\nfor VHF and UHF.\n\nSo I took a gamble and put in the VHF parts instead.\n\nBingo S1 to S9 improvement.\n\nOk, so lets cascade them.\n\nSure enough the front end of my radio on 144 MHz overloaded with other\nsignals.\n\nIt has bought up GO32 from S1 to S9\n\nGENSAT is S4 from S nothing.\n\nNow this is just before the radio.\n\nI am now keen to throw it in a box and up at the antenna.\n\nHaving fun, also building a Power Break out box with meters and switches.\n\nCheers\n\n\n----------------------------------------------------------------------------\nAndrew Rich VK4TEC\[email protected]\nhttp://www.tech-software.net\n\n\n",
