The big plus regarding this radio is the SSB RX mode. It is the only \nHT I know usable to work the AO-16 in voice mode VHF-FM uplink / UHF SSB \ndownlink. Additionally I have used the TH-F6 as the RX part to work the \nlinear birds from my mobile station.\n\nYou can see the TH-F6 in action working the FO-29 from mobile here:\nhttp://eb4dka.laserenadigital.com/Videos%20AMSAT/VIDEO_EB4DKA%20via%20FO29%20desde%20movil.html\n(note that I am using the handheld with the CJU antenna)\n\nSome years ago I've used it with success in the AO-40. Here is a video of \nthe F6 receiving the AO-40 with a DB6NT downconverter attached to a 60 cm \ndish:\nhttp://eb4dka.laserenadigital.com/Videos%20AMSAT/VIDEO_Kenwood%20THF7%20recibiendo%20el%20AO40.html\n\nAnd another great thing is the looong lasting battery.\n\nBest 73,\nPedro EB4DKA\nhttp://eb4dka.laserenadigital.com\n\n\n\n----- Original Message ----- \nFrom: <[email protected]>\nTo: <[email protected]>\nSent: Monday, April 21, 2008 6:33 PM\nSubject: [amsat-bb] TH-F6A?\n\n\n>I am updating some radios I have,,, I am going to sell my Alinco dual \n>bander? a DJ-V5, which I had used on sats, and as a scanner, and the W32A I \n>had bought just for satellite work.\n> I am going to update to a Kenwood TH-F6A,,, because I can work sats with \n> it, but I also like having the?
