This is not exactly what you are\nlooking for, but it does a good job of plotting your grid squares on a map.\nIt can plot from two different grid square lists as well, so you can\nhighlight confirmed vs. worked grids, for example, in different colors or\nshades. It does have the capability of adding boundaries--so state outlines\ncould be added, but so far no support for shading in the boundaries as far\nas I know.\n\nDoug KD8CAO\n\n------------------------------\nMessage: 11\nDate: Thu, 21 Jan 2010 09:44:52 -0500\nFrom: Michael Wolthuis <[email protected]>\nSubject: [amsat-bb] Graphical display of states worked or something\n similar?\nTo: <[email protected]>\nMessage-ID: <C77DD294.11803%[email protected]<C77DD294.11803%[email protected]>\n>\nContent-Type: text/plain; charset=\"US-ASCII\"\nBeen having lots of fun with new rooftop sat antennas. What I would like to\ndo is attempt to work all states via AO-51, but I am struggling with a good\nlayout to keep myself motivated.\nDoes anyone know of a logging program I could display on a flat screen\nspecific to sats?\nHere is my thought:\nA google maps overlay that has states and gridsquares on it (does this exist\ntoday as overlays for Google Earth maybe?)\nThen Iog my sat contacts on AO-51 into a logging program (LOTW or something\nelse).\nThen it gives me an output overlay for Google so I can see all states and\ngridsquares worked.\nIt would be great if it could color in the states I have worked and/or the\ngrids I have worked on zoomin.\nWell, I know it is a lot to ask and maybe it has to be designed, but it\ncertainly sounded interesting to me. It would really be nice when scouts or\nfamily come over to show them the states I have worked on AO-51 and/or\nothers in a visual display.\nThanks for any ideas or any pointers into anything close or at least a good\nsat logging program that maybe I can export a file to utilize in Google\nEarth to make a KMZ out of or something.\nMike\nkb8zgl\n_______________________________________________\nSent via [email protected].
