It's so interesting!\n\nI'm seeing something, but I don't think I can explain it clearly.\n\nI'll try.\n\nWhen you hang a long wire dipole antenna in the air and pull it tight\nthat it is taut, what happens over time?\n\nIt starts to sag due to gravity.\n\nIn space it is not the same.\n\nHowever, there is vibration.\n\nThere is a pattern.\n\nThere are 3 lines.\n\nThe line closest to the center, what I am calling the tower, is tight.\n\nThe next line is not as tight.\n\nThe last line furtherest from the tower is the least tight.\n\nIt is my belief that the vibration on the array, being in orbit for 6\nyears, has stretched the lines at the ends, where it vibrates most.\n\nIf it was possible to tighten the lines individually, simply\ntightening the line furthest from the tower would allow the correct\nfolding.\n\nI do not believe this is possible.\n\nSo a space walk is necessary to force it shut.\n\nJust thinking.\n\n-N2OTO FN30cr\n", "attachments": [] }
