    "content": "I had not previously attempted this particular combination on linux, but\nhave a working setup if you would like to try it.\n\nAs you have found, the \"plus\" version of AGW_Online_Kiss does indeed\ngenerate some errors that are difficult to resolve.  But that version of\nthe utility provides more functionality than you really need just to\ngenerate .KSS files.\n\nIn fact, I normally use the original non-plus AGW_Online_Kiss on Windows\nand have copied it over to linux for use under Wine.\n\nBy placing one dependency file in the same folder where the .EXE is\nlocated, it runs very nicely.  Of course, the .INI file needs to be edited\nfor each person.\n\nLastly, this utility simply listens on the specified AGW port for packets\nfrom your software soundmodem of choice.  On linux, Direwolf is by far the\nbest tool to use.  I have included an appropriate direwolf .CONF file at\nthe URL I'll list below.   So the Direwolf command would be:\n\ndirewolf -c direwolf-1200.conf\n\n... and after that is running, start AGW_Online_Kiss.exe.   Click the\n\"Connect AGW\" button and you should see confirmation of a connection to\nDirewolf.  When packets are heard over the audio path that Direwolf is\nmonitoring, if all the settings match (baud rate, etc.) you'll see the\ndecodes in AGW_Online_Kiss and a .KSS file (and optionally .LOG file) will\nbe created for you.\n\nI have placed this version of AGW_Online_Kiss, the .OCX dependency, and\nthat sample Direwolf .CONF file at:\n\nhttps://www.qsl.net/k/k4kdr//downloads/agw-kss-linux/\n\n... please review the .INI and .CONF file to verify that they are suitable\nto your configuration.
