"content": "Hi!\n\nAs I just posted in another -BB message, I operated as K7UGA on one \nAO-27 pass this afternoon from the Yuma hamfest. This brought my \nQSO count as K7UGA on the satellites this week to 111. \n\nOver the past day or so, you may have heard another voice on the \nFM satellites and VO-52 as K7UGA. You would have been hearing Tom\nNQ7R. Tom used to work satellites many years ago, and is starting \nto try them again. Tom was operating from his home in central \nArizona, in grid DM42. \n\nI will work one more pass from here in Yuma to wrap up my K7UGA \nactivity. I will be on the VO-52 pass at 1536-1549 UTC (an eastern \npass with maximum elevation of 71 degrees). After this pass, I \nam planning to have lunch with a bunch of friends in this area, \nbefore driving home in the mid-afternoon. \n\nIt's been fun to operate using the former call of a famous ham\nthis week, trying to extend the Central Arizona DX Association's \nArizona statehood centennial commemoration to the satellites. \nIn the brief QSOs on the FM birds, and some of the longer chats\non the SSB birds, I've heard some comments from people who worked\nBarry Goldwater on HF - amateur bands, or the MARS frequencies -\nin the past. I never had the chance to work Barry on the radio, \nbut it has been fun to hear them. \n\nIf you wish to receive a K7UGA QSL card, please send your QSL \nrequest with an SASE to the K7UGA QSL manager, Bob K7BHM. You\ncan see the K7UGA card at: http://www.qrz.com/db/k7uga\n\n73!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPatrick WD9EWK/VA7EWK \nhttp://www.wd9ewk.net/\n\n\n\n\n",
