    "content": "I would like to extend my gracious thanks to Keith Baker (KB1SF/VA3KSF) and\nhis wife Kathryn (KB1OGF/VA3OGF) for chatting me up during the Tokyo Ham\nFair this past weekend, where they had set up a booth promoting the next\nDayton Hamvention.\n\nhttps://i.imgur.com/Po65neI.jpg\n\nAs the former president and current treasurer of AMSAT, Mr. Baker was\ntickled that I had on my Fox-1A T-shirt (that I wore specifically for the\noccasion), and that spawned a great conversation about the current state of\namateur satellites -- he pointed out that it was the move to the\nnow-ubiquitous \"cubesat\" form factor that resulted in a Cambrian Explosion\nof satellite development. We also chatted about each other's backgrounds,\nand I got to interpret for some other interested Japanese attendees who had\ncome over.\n\nMr and Mrs Baker are both charming people and I hope they are here next\nyear for the 2019 event as well!\n\nP.S.
