If one of the pyrotchnics fails its no problem the bolt just gets ripped out of the concrete \n\n73 John G7HIA\n\n\n\n________________________________\nFrom: Jeff Moore <[email protected]>\nTo: [email protected]\nSent: Sunday, 6 June, 2010 20:43:11\nSubject: [amsat-bb] Re: Falcon 9 video - moving early?\n\nThat sort of thing is actually common practice. The Shuttle, for example, \nfires the main engines and allows them to get up to thrust and stabilize \nwhile the vehicle is still clamped down, then they fire the solid boosters, \nthen they let it go.\n\nJeff Moore -- KE7ACY\nBAR - Born Again Rocketeer\nCN94\n\n----- Original Message ----- From: \"Elan Portnoy\" <[email protected]>\n\n\n> That's been the case even earlier as well.
