"content": "Clint,\nI think you have only stated the facts. This question is about what\nhappened to the antenna? I, for one, am looking for the explanation\nas he is.\nDid it get broken? Did it get lost the many times it was unpacked?\nDid it ever have one? Etc.?\nWe may never have the proverbial exact answer, however, if we populate\nthe next satellite as this one, what do we do to insure an antenna?\nPresently , all is operational albeit at a degraded level.\n\n******Also- to those looking for Certificates of reception--- I am\ninvolved with the group trying to answer all the requests. If someone\nsends a request and a day later says- \"Oh, I was incorrect on the time\nor my name spelling etc.\"-- The first request is honored and others\ndisregarded. Too many requests to keep tabs on and I'm sure once the\nschool year begins in the US, we will be inundated with the requests.\nBe patient and we will get to all as soon as possible.\n73,\nDee & Gang of Certificate issuers.\n\n-----Original Message-----\nFrom: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]]\nOn Behalf Of Clint Bradford\nSent: Thursday, August 18, 2011 11:05 AM\nTo: [email protected]\nSubject: [amsat-bb] Re: Official Word for 440 Antenna\n\n>> ... What is the official AMSAT/ARISSat1 team finding on the\nARISSat-1 70cm quarter-wave\nreceive antenna on the bottom of the satellite?\n\n\nNot the \"official\" word by any means ... but the 440 whip was not\nthere when deployed. SO ... we are working with a 1.5\" antenna instead\nof a 6.5\" antenna.\n\nBut - All modes of ARISSat-1 are operational -\n\nFM Downlink 145.950 - Operational\nLinear Transponder U/V - Operational\nCW Beacon 145.919 - Operational\nVHF SSB BPSK-1000 - Operational\n\nClint, K6LCS\nhttp://tinyurl.com/ARISSAT1-STATUS\n_______________________________________________\nSent via [email protected].
