"content": "Joe,\nthe RTS pins of the Radio 1 and Radio 2 COM ports can be (permanently) \nset high or low  (menu \"Rotor Setup\"). I added that option several years \nago to have a source for feeding CAT interfaces. Also, the RTS pin of \nthe  Radio 1 COM port must be set high if the radio is a TS-2000. This \nbecame necessary when I replaced (with V. 12.8c) the old MSComm32 \ncomponent (which supports  only 16  port numbers) by a newer one that \ncan handle more ports.\n\nThe DTR pins of  the Radio 1 and Radio 2 COM ports can also feed \ninterfaces.  The Radio 2 DTR pin can alternatively (menu \"Options\") be \nused to automatically steer an antenna switch  (or cross switch for 2 \nantennas and 2 radios) when the user switches between uv and vu sats or \nvice versa.  The feature requires different uplink/downlink patterns but \ndoesn't work on the base of a particular satellite name (but see below).\n\nThe program's \"Priority\" feature can be used to automatically switch the \nprogram to a particular satellite when it rises. The antenna could then \nbe switched manually (not too much work, I think).\n\nProvided you run 2 radios (to activate the Radio 2 functions) you could \ntheoretically have a group that contains your particular satellite and \nonly others with a reverse uplink/downlink pattern. Then the program \ncould automatically switch to your  satellite when it rises and also \nswitch the antennas. (I hope, hi, I didn't test that) .\n\n73s, Erich, DK1TB\n\nAm 31.10.2017 um 10:30 schrieb Joe Pereira:\n> Does anyone know if it is possible to output a serial port signal when a\n> satellite is in view.\n>\n> I would like to switch an external relay circuit when a particular\n> satellite is in view.\n>\n> Regards\n> Joe - VK5EI\n> _______________________________________________\n> Sent [email protected].
