    "content": "You can't go wrong with the SSB preamp.\n\n\nYes, they're expensive, but you definitely get what you pay for.\n\n\nWhen I was getting started in satellites, I cut a lot of corners, and \ndid things my way because \"I knew better\".......NOT!\n\n\nI wound up doing things pretty much the same way the seasoned veterans \ndid, and could have saved myself a LOT of grief and money if I'd just \nfollowed their suggestions from the beginning.\n\n\n73, Jim  KQ6EA\n\n\nOn 10/21/2016 09:49 PM, Steve Appleton wrote:\n> I agree that MFJ puts out a inferior product in general.
