"content": "Hi All,\n\n \n\nMy wife and I are planning a cruise to the Caribbean this winter. I was\nlooking at Carnival since some of you have posted about using radios for\nsatellite contacts while on board. As I was reading the \"Carnival\nCorporation Prohibited Items\n<https://help.carnival.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4090> \" list I found this\nline; \"Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacons (EPIRB), ham radios,\nsatellite phones, transformers, lasers and laser pointers\". With all the\nheightened security these days I figured they had decided to add ham gear to\ntheir list. As I was reading the \"Exemptions and Other Considerations\n<https://help.carnival.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2261> \" list I came\nacross this line \"Ham Radios/Amateur Radio Equipment: Permitted to be used\non board\". At the bottom of the page was \"Was this answer helpful Yes/NO\",\nI clicked on \"No\" and a box popped up asking for an explanation. I pointed\nout what I found and asked which line is correct. I will post their answer\nwhen I get it.\n\n \n\nEd, N7EC\n\n",
