"content": "Hello everybody.\n\nThis is my first post and really just testing.\n\nName: Stephen K THORNBER\nAge: Yes\nLocation: Leicester, England, UK\nCall: G6SGA\nComputers: PC dual screens reasonable spec and my new baby a\nMAC powerbook running OS X Tiger. With a whopping great big screen.\n\nI am just getting interested in Satellite and I have decide to equip myself\nwith relevant tools and information over the winter months and to I hope\nstart working something early in the new year.\n\nSO I may be looking for lots of assistance.\n\nI have an FT817 and I have an IC2410H, that however is not in perfect health\nat the moment.\n\nWhat I do not have and am not to good with is quality antenna systems,\nrotors etc. I do not know what to look for really.\n\nHaving said that I have\nHigh Sierra Motorised HF Whip\nAnd 10m Center Fed Dipole\n\nVHF / UHF Vertical\nVHF Folded dipole.\n\nQUESTION: I have only got about £100 (USD 150+/-) to spend on an aerial\nspecifically for the Satellite work would the [Tonna (20899) 2m/70cm Oscar\nSpecial 9/19 el yagi] be a good place to start?\n\nI do not have any rotars as of yet so I would appreciate guidance on good,\nreasonably priced, rotars and more importantly perhaps which bit fits on\nwhich bit and in what order to put the mast(pole) Rotar together. This may\nall be too much for one session but enthusiasm is running high at the\nmoment.\n\nHAPPY CHRISTMAS all\n\n73\n\nStephen\n\nPS would love to hear from any UK Satellite enthusiasts.\n\n\n\n",
