"content": "Hi Ray!\n\nI wasn't calling CQ on the last pass at 1509-1517 UTC.\nAs I expected, I could not hear myself through the\ntransponder on this lower pass (maximum elevation\n15 degrees). I copied more CW telemetry at 145.920,\none CW signal near the center of the transponder,\nand listened a bit to the 145.950 FM/SSTV downlink.\nI got the secret word and a couple of SSTV images\nthat I will feed into my laptop at home later. Signals\nwere good, especially when I twisted my Elk log\nperiodic s-l-o-w-l-y to compensate for the fading,\nwhich didn't seem as pronounced as on the earlier\npass. My radios on both passes were my two\nFT-817NDs that I normally use for SSB/CW satellite\nwork, both connected to the same antenna via a\n2m/70cm diplexer.\n\nEven without the 70cm antenna, this seems to be a\nfun satellite. If I get a shot at a pass with higher\nelevation, I'm sure I can make QSOs with my 5W\nstation. I will also try copying 145.950 at home\ntonight, with a radio and antenna in my apartment.\nThanks to all who worked to get this in orbit and\non the air!\n\n73!\n\n\n\n\n\nPatrick WD9EWK/VA7EWK\nhttp://www.wd9ewk.net/\n\n\n\n\nOn 8/6/11, [email protected] <[email protected]> wrote:\n> Patrick,\n>\n> It must have been you that I heard calling CQ on CW.\n>\n> 73 Ray W2RS\n> _______________________________________________\n> Sent via [email protected].
