So it starts with the \nconfiguration that you used last When you start a second instance and \nchange the settings the second instance will work with these settings. \nBut you can't save the two different settings. At the next program start \nboth instances start with the same (last) configuration and therefore \nwith equal settings.\n\nBut there is a way to run two instances of SatPC32 with two completely \ndifferent configurations at the same time inclusive rotor and CAT \ncontrol and storing of all settings.\n\nOf course, this only makes sense if you use 2 independent rotor / \nantenna systems and multiple radios.EACH instance requires either a \nsatellite transceiver or two separate non-satellite radios, one for RX \n(Radio 1) and one for TX (Radio 2) and the necessary ports etc.\n\nTo run two instances you need a 2nd SatPC32.exe file in the SatPC32 \nprogram folder. The name must be different of course, e.g. SatPC32_2.exe.\n\nThe 2nd program file must be permanently set to a specific \nconfiguration - say configuration 4 - regardless of the configuration \nchosen in menu Setup > Configuration. So, a modified file is required \n(the modification requires only 2 lines of code). Some years agao I have \nuploaded a file SatPC32_2.exe for a friend of mine. It works fix with \nconfiguration 4: www.dk1tb.de/SatPC32_2.exe\n\nFor the 1st SatPC32.exe you can choose Configurations 1 - 3 with \ndifferent settings. .\n(For CAT control of the IC-9700 this file should be used because the \nother one is some years old.)\n\nTo avoid hardware conflicts rotor and CAT control are disabled (default) \nwith the 2nd file, but the functions can be enabled (SatPC32 menu ? > \nAuxiliary Files > DivOptions.SQF).\n\nOf course, everyone is solely responsible for avoiding hardware conflicts.\n\n73s\n\nErich, DK1TB\n\n\nAm 03.04.2023 um 19:19 schrieb Vince Fiscus, KB7ADL via AMSAT-BB:\n> At 09:08 AM 4/3/2023 +1200, [email protected] wrote:\n>> Hi Vince,\n>>\n>> Just tried to run 2 instances of SatPC32.\n>> On the second instance, rotor and cat control are deactivated.\n>> See attached screen shot.\n>> You probably have found this already.\n>> Try GPredict instead of SatPC32.\n>> I can run 2 instances of that without any problems but I haven't \n>> tried rotor and cat control.\n>>\n>> 73,\n>> Terry ZL2BAC\n>\n>\n> Hi Terry, & all,\n>\n> I'm surprised my question hasn't popped up before.
