Works well, except that the frequency is \nnot very stable. It seems like it wants to switch between two different \nfrequencies from time to time, and I don't know if it's related to battery \nvoltage, temperature, or a gentle thump on the side of the case.\n\nAlso when running that many harmonics, the signal is not very pure, but on \nssb or cw (but not with the narrow filter in place!) you can tell it's \nthere. Just don't expect a nice sweet heterodyne tone.\n\nI mounted mine in a metal box and hung it from a tree in the yard. Way too \nstrong to align anything. I like Dom's idea of putting it several km away; \nthat's the right way to do things.\n\nGreg KO6TH\n\n\n----------------------------------------\n> From: [email protected]\n> To: [email protected]\n> Date: Mon, 21 Jan 2008 10:10:20 -0500\n> Subject: [amsat-bb] Signal source for 2.4ghz\n>\n>\n>\n>>\n>> At $2, it was all I used to hack and tweak my downconverter.
