The worst offenders are a wireless network and a\ncordless phone. During the AO-40 era I bought a cordless phone from a\nneighbor that was very troublesome. I have since moved to a country\nlocation, and find it interesting that I can tell what direction town is by\nmoving my antenna (pointed at the horizon) and listening to the noise level\non mode S.\n\n73,\nJoe kk0sd\n\n-----Original Message-----\nFrom: Joe v Murray [mailto:[email protected]] \nSent: Tuesday, May 04, 2010 10:43 PM\nTo: [email protected]\nSubject: Re: [amsat-bb] Re: Field Day mode for AO-51\n\nHi Joe\n\nYour comment about Mode S interference interests me\nI have not been on since AO-40\nIn those days there was no interference on mode S.\nUnless it was another Ham.\nWould you kindly explain?\n\nThanks\n\nJoe K0VTY\n===================\nOn Tue, 4 May 2010 22:22:54 -0500 \"Gary \\\"Joe\\\" Mayfield\"\n<[email protected]> writes:\n> I have L band gear.
