    "content": "Keep in mind that ANY omni antenna is going to be pretty dismal on receiving satellites.  So although there are some differences, we talking about total crap or only partially crap.  Based on my own experiences with a couple of different omni antennas, as I recall a few years back when I was trying to pass decoded packets from the original PC-Sat (if I remember right), the best I could do was a couple of decoded packets per week.  Between the weak signal and no automated dopler shift, it was pretty much wasted effort.
