I have \nbeen using the Gemini Orbit 360 here for elevation with a home brew \ncontroller and have had good service from it. The pot failed in my first \none after a couple of years of extensive use and I never could get a \nreplacement installed and working properly. The one I have up now has been \nup in use for about 6 or 8 years. The pot is a little \"scratchy\" around zero\n\nbut it is still serviceable. I still have one new spare and a used unit \nthat I'm unsure of. They appear on ebay from time to time but be aware that \nthere were some\nunits produced after all the initial units were gone that carried the same \nmodel number but was not the same rotor. It looked much like the 3 wire \nRadio Shack model and the mast did not pass through the unit.\n\nActually I've spent enough on the units I bought to buy a real Yaesu \nelevation rotor but where's the fun in that?\n\nGod luck,\n\n73 de Jess W4MVB\n\n----- Original Message ----- \nFrom: \"Danny Stone\" <[email protected]>\nTo: <[email protected]>\nSent: Sunday, July 19, 2009 6:24 PM\nSubject: [amsat-bb] Alliance U-100/110 & Gemini O-360 Alternatives\n\n\n> Is there a currently manufactured equivalent of the Alliance U-100 or \n> Gemini Orbit 360 TV-type antenna rotator that permit cross boom \n> installation for EL-rotator application?\n>\n> 73,\n> Danny\n> KK4E\n>\n> _______________________________________________\n> Sent via [email protected].
