"content": "Did you notice this in the FAQ docs. As you really have to dig into it a bit to catch this critical step.\n\nI have a TS-2000x and it works just fine with this.\n\n\n\nKenwood TS-2000 CAT problem with SatPC32 vers. 12.8c and later\n\nWith SatPC32 and SatPC32ISS version 12.8c I use a new component to manage the serial ports. The old component supported only COM port numbers up to 15. The new USB-to-Serial adapters generate often virtual port numbers > 15, however.\n\nSteering the TS-2000 with SatPC32 and SatPC32ISS vers. 12.8c requires the option \"RTS+12V\" (SatPC32 menu \"Setup\" > \"Radio Setup\") to be checked. That imitates the hardware handshaking the TS-2000 expects. \n\n \n\nAnother solution is a homemade RS-232 cable with only the 3 lines Ground, RxD, TxD wired and a wire bridge between CTS and RTS (pins 7 and 8 of the DB-9 plug) on the TS-2000 side. \n\n\nHope that helps,\nWalter/K5WH\n\n-----Original Message-----\nFrom: AMSAT-BB <[email protected]> On Behalf Of Mike\nSent: Thursday, March 28, 2019 8:02 PM\nTo: [email protected]\nSubject: [amsat-bb] SatPC32 and windows 10\n\nI was successfully using Windows 7 to run SatPC32 and suffered a catastrophic failure of the computer so I had to replace it.\n\nI replaced it with a used Windows 10 computer.\n\nI can install SatPC32 and get it set up, as best as i remember how to do.\nThings seem to be working except for the doppler tracking of the CAT control.\nI know SatPC is talking to my TS-2000 because it goes into satellite mode when I start SatPC. Also, I can click on the CW tab and it changes to CW and back when I deselect it. But no doppler tracking control.\n\nI'm at a loss as what to do at this point.\n\nThanks for any help.\n\nMike Stansberry, K0TER\n\n\n_______________________________________________\nSent via [email protected].
