I would then\ntranscribe to paper noting time, call, and grid. NOW i am in the process of\ngoing back to the beginning of time (yr 2000) and using XMlog logging on the\ncomputer. It is s VERY user friendly program that was recommended to me by\nJohn, K6YK and will export an ADI file for uploading to LoTW, QRZ, QRZCQ and\nClubLog.\n\n\nAll of my satellite contacts have been with an HT and number over 4000. \n\n73 ... I will have a\nstationary station; not portable handheld. \n\n\nIs it common to keep a personal log and then upload it to LoTW? If so, what\npersonal log program is commonly used? \n\n\nI normally do not use a logging program and certainly not familiar with\nLoTW. I looked at it on the ARRL website and it looked complicated. I really\ndo not understand the process \n\n\nI listened to a AO-85 pass with my IC-2730A and a Comet GP-6 dual band base\nantenna, without any preamp, and was very good copy considering. That was\nencouraging. \n\n\nAny help will be appreciated . \n\n\n73, \n\nJerry AB5R \n_______________________________________________ \nSent via [email protected].
