"content": "Hi Christopher,\n\nIt sounds as though your interface unit (sitting between the COM port and\nyour rotator controller) is only set for 90 degree elevation, or, possibly,\njust needs recalibrating.\n\nI'd be looking there first.\n\n73,\nJohn (XLX)\n\n-----Original Message-----\nFrom: AMSAT-BB [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Iapicco,\nChristopher\nSent: 12 October 2017 18:24\nTo: [email protected]\nSubject: [amsat-bb] SatPC32 Yaesu rotor not registering 180 degree properly\n\nHello,\n\nI am attempting to use SatPC32 12.8c on Windows 7 to control a Yaesu GS-232\nrotor to track my university's cubesat. All connections have been doubled\nchecked for accuracy. In the setup, the 180 degrees max elevation is\nselected, along with the correct setup for the com port, and the rotor\ninterface is set to Yaesu GS232.\n\nFor some reason, the software is only registering that the rotor has 90\ndegrees of elevation still. Meaning that when the rotor controller reads\n180 degrees, the software reads 90 degrees. Similarly, when the controller\nreads 45 degrees, the software reads 90. It seems that all built in software\nsettings have been explored and a solution for this problem cannot be found.\nAny suggestions?\n\nThanks\n_______________________________________________\nSent via [email protected].
