"content": "Hello Don,\non my website, page \"Software\" you will find a link \"Vista compatibility\"\nwith my experience with SatPC32 under Vista 32-bit and 64-bit.\nHere the section from that text that describes how to change and save the\nSatPC32 aux. files like Doppler.SQF under Vista:\n\n\"a. .....\nb. The Configuration of the program with the sub menus of the menu \"Setup\"\ngenerally also works (regarding menu \"Observer\" see sect. 3).\n\nIf you want to change an auxiliary file manually you have to consider the\nnew file saving system of Vista, however. SatPC32 saves user specific\nsettings in several auxiliary files in the SatPC32 program folder. With\nprevious Windows versions these files remained in this folder even when they\nwere changed via the program or manually. With changes via the program\nVista, however, leaves the original file unchanged and generates a copy with\nthe changes instead. If - i.e. - a satellite's uplink frequency was\ncalibrated with the CAT menu functions Vista will generate a copy of\nDoppler.SQF that contains the changes. It will save the copy in a\n\"Compatibility Files\" folder somewhere on the HD and the program will read\nthe data from this copy. This folder can't be opened with the Explorer menu\n\"File\" / \"Open\" as usual but only with the Explorer control \"Compatibility\nFiles\".\n\n If you edit a file manually with Notepad, however, only the original file\nwill be modified and no copy in the \"Compatibility Files\" folder will be\ngenerated.\n\nThat means: If you want to change a file manually, i.e., if you want to add\na new satellite to Doppler.SQF, look first whether there is a copy of this\nfile in the \"Compatibility Files\" folder. If yes, don't modify the original\nfile but the copy.\n\n....... \"\n\n73s, Erich, DK1TB\n\n\n\n----- Original Message ----- \nFrom: \"Don Blachura\" <[email protected]>\nTo: <[email protected]>\nSent: Tuesday, June 05, 2007 9:44 PM\nSubject: [amsat-bb] Satpc32\n\n\n> Hello folks.\n> I am going to use Satpc32 in the QRP settings.
