    "content": "Hi Joe,\n\nOur UCI CubeSat team (UCISAT) owns both antennas, and\nthe performance has been excellent. A notable use of\nour 2m beam was when we activated RAFT's radar\ntransponder in a low EL, longshot pass just 3 days\nbefore re-entry\n(http://www.ew.usna.edu/~bruninga/craft/save-raft.html).\nThe combo has worked very well for LEOs, CubeSats, and\nthe ISS. My only gripe is assembly/disassembly of the\nelements. Each element is secured with lock washers\nwhich are difficult (but not impossible) to slide on,\nand you have to break them off and replace if you need\nto take the antennas apart for any reason. If you plan\nto use them for a permanent station, then you just\nhave to worry about the first assembly. If you do pick\nthem up, make sure you take care to line up the\nelements in the right order before locking down the\nelements!\n\nHope that helps.
