Look in the ? > Hints[Radio] > Yaesu Users menu in SatPC. There is \na whole writeup on how to do this with one radio.\n\nThe stock Doppler.sqf file needs to be updated for the newer satellites. FO-29 \nsetting is off by -2000hz for example, other satellites are pretty close. \nIdeally you should work with someone who has a good station to help you adjust \nthe settings and then store them and be spot on in the future.\n\nIt is best to test on low passes as the Doppler will shift slower compared to a \nhigh elevation pass, where the VFO toggling is very pronounced. Make sure you \nrelease the PTT often and keep transmissions short so the PC can update the VFO \nfrequencies.\n\nGood luck!\n\n73, Adrian AA5UK\n\n\n\n\n\n\n________________________________\nFrom: Ron Overdrive <[email protected]>\nTo: David Palmer <[email protected]>\nCc: Clint Bradford <[email protected]>; AMSAT BB <[email protected]>; \[email protected]\nSent: Thu, February 10, 2011 1:33:49 PM\nSubject: [amsat-bb] Re: SatPC32 - FT-817\n\nQuestion I have is, is it possible to use SatPC32 to control 1 FT-817 either\nin split frequency or in each VFO (ie switching between VFO A & B) with the\nDoppler shift corrections? At this time my FT-817 is my only 2m/70cm rig\nthat supports SSB and I would like to be able to operate on the linear birds\nespecial ARISSat-1 when its launched. I'm fully aware I would not be able to\nhear myself in the preferred full duplex operation, but something is better\nthen nothing until I can acquire another SSB rig either in 2m or 70cm.\n\n~73, AC2RF Ron\n\nOn Thu, Feb 10, 2011 at 2:21 PM, David Palmer <[email protected]> wrote:\n\n> Hi Clint and James,\n>\n> I've got a full write-up on my 2 x FT-817ND system with SatPC32 on my page\n> at:\n>\n> http://kb5wia.blogspot.com/2010/10/satellite-portable-station.html\n>\n> It includes details configuation, screenshot, cables, setup, etc.\n> Same config will apply to an 817+857 install.\n>\n> 73 de Dave KB5WIA / CM88\n>\n> On Thu, Feb 10, 2011 at 9:45 AM, Clint Bradford <[email protected]>\n> wrote:\n> > James Brown (no, not THAT \"James Brown\") needs assistance with SatPC32 -\n> Would a SatPC32 guru please answer him directly at ...\n> >\n> > [email protected]\n> >\n> > JAMES: Wondering if you have instructions to make ft817 and ft857\n> connect to sat32pc and how that works.
