"content": "FWIW, Drew and I ran two DJ-G7's in full duplex mode into a comms tests set,\none was Drew's very early model and mine was a more recent model. We also\ntook the opportunity to test a TH-D7.\n\nWe ran the tests using AO-51's uplink and downlink frequencies. Drew has the\nactual figures, but as I remember it they were like this:\n\nEarly DJ-G7 15dB desense\nLater DJ-G7 5dB desense\nTH-D7 1dB desense\n\nThe test involved adjusting receive signal power until we had a 12dB SINAD\nmeasurement, first without transmitting then while holding the radio's PTT.\n\n73, Howard G6LVB\n\n-----Original Message-----\nFrom: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On\nBehalf Of Alan P. My rig finally arrived, as did shortly\nthereafter new firmware and most recently a memory cloning program. With\nthat, I have been able to test both the Icom OPC-478 and the RT Systems\nCT-29A cables. (Both need a stereo 3.5 mm to 2.5 mm adapter, plus the\nEDS-10 adapter which breaks out the Alinco connector to separate microphone\nand earphone connectors.) In both cases, I have found that they work\nperfectly for both memory management and firmware upgrade. If you already\nhave a similar cable, you can probably get by with a $4 adapter from RS\nrather than a new $55 cable.\n\nUnfortunately, the DJ-G7T is not so far proving to be an adequate satellite\nrig, but that is another issue.\n\n\nAlan\nWA4SCA\n\n\n_______________________________________________\nSent via [email protected].
