"content": "J-Pole antennas are a 1/2 wave element with a 1/4 wavelength matching stub.\nThe Matching stub allows the dipole to be fed from the bottom end without\ninterference from the feed line. Open Line (J), tapped coax, or LC Circuit\ncan be used to match the dipole to a coax at the end, accomplishing the same\nperformance, including the same overhead null one expects from a vertical\ndipole.\n\nArt, \nKC6UQH \n\n-----Original Message-----\nFrom: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On\nBehalf Of Andrew Rich\nSent: Saturday, April 16, 2011 11:03 PM\nTo: KF1BUZ\nCc: <[email protected]>\nSubject: [amsat-bb] Re: ground plane on\n\nhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L4v9wKMxRHQ&feature=youtube_gdata_player\n\nSent from my iPhone\nAndrew Rich\n\nOn 17/04/2011, at 15:53, KF1BUZ <[email protected]> wrote:\n\n> A Copper Jpole, has this been tried?\n> Just thinking it might make my getting into the birds better.\n> \n> Thanks\n> Dan\n> KF1BUZ\n> \n> \n> _______________________________________________\n> Sent via [email protected].
