The\ntransmissions are to begin on April 11 at 11:30 UTC and run through April\n14 ending at 18:20 UTC.\n\n\n\nSupporting this event is a computer on the ISS Russian Segment, which\nstores images that are then transmitted to Earth using amateur radio,\nspecifically the onboard Kenwood TM-D710E transceiver. Transmitted images\nwill be from the Interkosmos project period of the Soviet space program (\nhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interkosmos). Images received can be posted\nand viewed at http://www.spaceflightsoftware.com/ARISS_SSTV/index.php .The\ntransmissions which were coordinated with the ARISS scheduling team, will\nbe broadcast at 145.800 MHz using the PD-120 SSTV mode.\n\n\nPlease note that the event is dependent on other activities, schedules and\ncrew responsibilities on the ISS and are subject to change at any time.\n\nPlease check for news and the most current information on the AMSAT.org and\nARISS.org websites, the [email protected], the ARISS facebook at Amateur\nRadio On The International Space Station (ARISS) and ARISS twitter\n@ARISS_status.\n\n\n\n\n*About ARISS*\n\nAmateur Radio on the International Space Station (ARISS) is a cooperative\nventure of international amateur radio societies and the space agencies\nthat support the International Space Station (ISS). In the United States,\nsponsors are the Radio Amateur Satellite Corporation (AMSAT), the American\nRadio Relay League (ARRL), the Center for the Advancement of Science in\nspace (CASIS) and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). The\nprimary goal of ARISS is to promote exploration of science, technology,\nengineering, and mathematics (STEM) topics by organizing scheduled contacts\nvia amateur radio between crew members aboard the ISS and students in\nclassrooms or public forms. Before and during these radio contacts,\nstudents, educators, parents, and communities learn about space, space\ntechnologies, and amateur radio. For more information, see www.ariss.org.\n\n\n\nAlso join us on Facebook: Amateur Radio on the International Space Station\n(ARISS)\n\nFollow us on Twitter: ARISS_status\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n*Media Contact:*\n\nDave Jordan, AA4KN\n\nARISS PR\n\[email protected]\n",
