"content": "PAVE PAWS operates in conjunction with BMEWS (Ballistic Missile Early \nWarning System) and MDS (Missile Detection System, a satellite based \nsystem). The PAVE PAWS primary mission is detection of submarine launched \nmissiles, thus their orientation out to sea. They also supplement other \ndetection systems in a concept known as 'dual phenomenology', i.e. detecting \nan oject using more than one source/system. This assures the observation is \nvalid and accurate.\n\nTom Webb, WA9AFM/5\nex-NORAD/USAF Space Command\n\n----- Original Message ----- \nFrom: \"Steve Meuse\" <[email protected]>\nTo: \"Floyd Rodgers\" <[email protected]>\nCc: \"AMSAT BB\" <[email protected]>\nSent: Tuesday, April 24, 2007 4:54 PM\nSubject: [amsat-bb] Re: Government control has \nexceededconstitutionallimitations.\n\n\n> Floyd Rodgers expunged ([email protected]):\n>\n>> Does anyone have any idea as to why only these two sites are still \n>> operating?
