    "content": "I'm an electrical engineer, for the last couple of years I've been \ndesigning spectrometers for radio telescopes, mostly working on the \nradio telescope in Arecibo.  As a result I've worked with a lot of \nastronomers and astrophysicists.\n\nI think it's a great subject to study and gives you fantastic training \nfor problem solving and approaching problems from first principles. \nUnless you wind up with an academic position or a staff position at some \nfacility, it seems like astrophysics is a stepping stone to figuring out \nwhat you really want to do, there's nothing wrong with that.
